Mike Foley

Mike Foley grew up in Sydney and trod a winding path into journalism - from the city’s building sites, warehouses and delivering mail.

He filled the gaps in his itinerant career by travelling the globe and fishing across as much of the good water in the eastern states as daylight allows.

Mike started out as a reporter as the mining boom began to peak, covering the ins and outs of bulk handling and the resources sector’s spread across the country.

Now he’s at The Land, he wants to know what government is doing to balance the benefits of mining with agriculture.
