AGRICULTURE Minister Kim Chance is seeing to it personally that his promises of close consultation with the PGA are fulfilled.

The Minister joined the PGA's Pastoral committee for a two-and-a-half hour discussion last week on the future of the Pastoral Lands Board, the Agriculture Protection Board, the proposed Agricultural Management Bill and other government policies.

"He has taken some of our ideas and concerns on board, and he has given us a lot to think about," said Pastoral Chairman Sandy McTaggart after the meeting.

Sandy said there would be ongoing discussion within PGA on the key issues before formal policies were conveyed to the Minister.
