A 30-year-old pilot is expected to make a full recovery after crashing his plane near Salmon Gums on Saturday.
The plane crashed in a farming paddock 105 kilometres from Esperance at 9:50am.
Esperance Police received a report at 10am, that the crop dusting plane had crashed.
Esperance Police, St John Ambulance and Salmon Gums Bushfire Bridge attended and located the pilot.
He had fractures to his ankle and forearm.
The pilo was the only person in the aircraft.
He was treated by ambulance officers and taken to the Esperance Airport, with a police escort.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service transferred the pilot to Royal Perth Hospital.
Esperance Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service was called to extinguish an arcing battery on the Air Tractor AT502 aircraft.
The cause of the crash is not yet known and the Air Transport Safety Authority will investigate.
