Drought assistance offer

FARMERS, please be aware that funds are still available through the WAFarmers/St Vincent de Paul Drought Assistance Scheme.

The funding applies to:

(i) Farmers who experienced drought-related problems in 2001

(ii) Farmers who are experiencing similar problems in 2002

(iii) Farmers with an equity at last budget review of less 75pc.

Reports continue to be received at the WAFarmers offices of farmers with ongoing drought problems.

Funding is available upon application for:

pLivestock feed and freight rebates up to $2000 and/or

pSeed purchase rebates up to $2000 and/or

pCrisis counselling up to $500 and/or

pObtaining water up to $2000.

The total amount cannot exceed $2000 per farm family business.

Application forms and associated information is available from all rural shire council offices or WAFarmers Perth office on 9325 2933.
