Elders, Telstra hook-up

ELDERS and Telstra Country Wide have formed an alliance which will see Telstra products and services available at Elders branches.

They launched their alliance at the Elders branch in Northam last week, one of only two locations in Australia to trial the concept.

Elders national telecommunications manager Jason Horley said that research conducted by Elders highlighted an opportunity in telecommunications.

"Once we identified the opportunity, Telstra Country Wide was the obvious choice for an alliance," Mr Horley said.

The six month commercial pilot will involve Elders staff in Northam being trained to offer customers a range of Telstra products and services.

Elders telecommunications sales manager Gordon Impey has been trained more specifically in order to offer farmers advice and services based on their individual needs.

Elders will be selling a range of mobiles, data (broadband etc) and fixed phones through their Northam branch.
