LANCE Stubberfield of Elders Bunbury has won the South West Fertiliser Person of the Year Award.

In announcing the winner of the award in Perth last week, CSBP futurefarm regional manager South WestPaul Omedei said the trophy would be known as the John Bartlett Award.

The award was initiated to acknowledge the work of the distributers who provide the direct link between the manufacturer and the consumer and to reward their customer service focus.

The judging involved an assessment of initiative and innovation, the nominees ability to solve problems and to improve food safety through their knowledge of the products they were selling.

In paying tribute to John Bartlett, Paul Omedei explained that it was the distributer group who suggested the name for the award, in recognition of his initiative in originally bringing the group together.
