HEAVY rain and water-logged roads didn't stop a large crowd heading to the LD and JP Stone and Co clearing sale at west Corrigin last week.
More than 285 registered bidders and dozens of onlookers braved the wind and rain last Thursday, for a successful sale that saw a total clearance of items.
A 10.9m (36ft) Flexi-Coil bar topped the sale at $38,000 while a Ford Versatile 946 tractor on duals was knocked down for $37,000.
Landmark Auctioneer Steve Wright kicked off the sale with a range of sundries, including a hotly-contested new five litre sausage maker which went for $450 and a new MIG Weldskill welder that was picked up for $1700.
Six three tonne Advantage lick-feeders were sold for between $1450 and $1750, while a fire fighter unit was bought for $1750.
A 2015 Polaris 570 sportsman motorbike with 5500km on the clock sold for $6000 and several bidders battled it out for a Marshal 850 Multispread that was taken for $14,000.
A 15.2m (50ft) Ag-Quip Grain Commander auger attracted a lot of attention and was bought for $21,500 while a WCM 936 front-end loader (710 hours) with forks, sold to BW and CM Nicholls, Corrigin.
The loader sold for $36,000 and a WCM rake sold separately for $4250.
LG and F Hagboom, Dowerin, were the winning bidders of the Case IH 2366 header with a 9.1m (30ft) front and comb trailer.
The header had clocked 3950 engine hours and 3000 rotor hours and was sold for $28,000.
A Ford Louisville 8000 tandem drive truck with a V8 Cat motor, tipping tray and 5.75m (19ft) grain bin was taken for $27,000.
