A GOOD break to the season and continued consistent falls meant growers were all smiles at the 2014 WA No-Tillage Farming Association (WANTFA) Post Seeding
Field Walk.
More than 80 farmers and industry representatives gathered under cloudy skies in Cunderdin to view WANTFA's latest trials and research projects at the association's main trial site.
WANTFA executive director David Minkey said the start to the season had been amazing compared to the same time
last year.
"I don't think anyone has seen anything quite like it," Mr Minkey said.
"The early start certainly affected some of our dry
seeding objectives.
"But saying that, it's a really good opportunity to see how well these crops can perform after getting in early."
Attendees viewed presentations based on trials by Bayer Crop Science, Pacific Seeds, CSBP, WANTFA and the Department of Agriculture and Food WA.
