29 Oct, 2008 07:48 AM

There's been some handy rain overnight in southern parts of Western Australia, thanks to a deepening trough.

According to The Weather Company, the cloud band is now mainly over South Australia, but parts of southern WA will still receive showers and storms.

And it says the trough extends all the way to the Kimberley, where it will also bring the odd shower.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the best falls overnight were: Newdegate 42mm, Dalwallinu 5mm, Lake Grace 15mm, Katanning 5mm, Esperance 21mm, Albany 20mm, Witchcliffe 12mm, Walpole North 19mm, Manjimup 6mm, Gingin 12mm, Dwellingup 6mm, and Badgingarra 10mm.
