Dairy farmers have one week left (Friday 15 December) to register for the Australian Dairy Conference (ADC) to be eligible for farmer early bird rates and save $100 off Full Conference Registration.
Regarded as Australia’s premier dairy event, the nation’s dairy elite will converge on Melbourne for the first time in its 16-year history as a central hub to address imminent issues facing the sector.
ADC President Tasmanian dairy farmer Ben Geard said that encouraging dairy farmers to take time to get off-farm and invest in business development was important for the industry to remain progressive and innovative.
“As an intensive industry, quite often farmers overlook investment in personal and farm development that is essential to keeping abreast of leading practices and applications.”
“Importantly, ADC also offers a social and networking environment with like-minded operators that can prove valuable in extending knowledge, resources and connecting with fellow farmers,” he said.
“Our aim at ADC is to open up opportunities – opportunity to hear from normally inaccessible speakers, rub shoulders with industry experts, meet new friends and learn some valuable and practical on-farm tools along the way.”
“I encourage farmers that haven’t yet had the opportunity to attend an ADC forum to use Melbourne 2018 as your platform. You may just be surprised what you take away from the Conference,” he concluded.
Farmer delegate full conference registration for ADC Melbourne 2018 is $770 by the 15 December 2017 or $880 after this date including functions to the Fonterra Welcome Dinner at The Park and Rabobank Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening. Pre Conference tour packages are also available visiting the dairy
rich Gippsland region.
