CBH has announced that Alan Mulgrew will join its board as an independent director.
Mr Mulgrew replaces Samantha Tough, who resigned from the board in December.
Mr Mulgrew is the current chairman of the Western Power Board and holds board member positions for Adelaide Airport Ltd, Tesla Corporation Pty Ltd and Queensland Airports Ltd.
He has extensive experience including 11 previous positions on other boards. Those roles included chairman of Tourism WA, chairman of Western Carbon Ptd Ltd and chairman of Australian Renewable Fuels among others.
Mr Mulgrew also has extensive senior executive experience as the former general manager of Perth Airport and former general manager of Sydney Airport, among other leadership roles.
CBH chairman Wally Newman said the appointment of Mr Mulgrew would bring valuable skills and experience to the CBH Board due to his extensive experience at a board and senior executive level.
“Mr Mulgrew is coming onto the CBH Board at a time when his extensive experience and abilities mean he will be positioned to make a strong contribution to creating and returning value to WA growers,” he said.
“We have consistently stated that CBH greatly values the experience of our independent directors, whose abilities supplement those of our grower directors.
“It is this combination of passion and backgrounds that make the co-operative strong and prosperous.
“It is vital CBH maintains a range of relevant expertise among its directors, in such a challenging and competitive environment.”
