WA Livestock Exporters Association has appointed new chairman Harold Sealy.
WA Livestock Exporters Association has appointed new chairman Harold Sealy.

THERE was a changing of the guard at the WA Livestock Exporters Association (WALEA) last week.

Wellard Middle East general manager Harold Sealy was announced as the new WALEA chairman after a reshuffle.

At last week's annual general meeting, Mr Sealy was named the association's new chairman, replacing former chairman Emanuel Exports general manager Nicholas Daws, who has been in the position since 2013.

Mr Sealy has more than five years experience with Wellard Group and more than 15 years experience in the livestock industry.

Mr Sealy said the change took place from last Thursday.

Al Jabri export manager and former WALEA chairman John Edwards also returned to the association.

Mr Edwards will use his new role as WALEA's vice chairman to assist Mr Sealy's transition, due to his 10 years past experience in the role.
