Volatility increases in world wheat market

US Wheat Associates vice president Vince Peterson says competing and unsustainable trends will cause problems if the global wheat industry is to feed the increasing world population as it grows from some 6.9 billion today and approaches 9.5b by mid-century.

THERE is already a 25 million tonne deficit in the production of wheat under consumption demands globally.
