FROM January 1, 2002, all MSA cattle need to be produced under an approved quality assurance program (QA).

To assist producers with this requirement, two QA workshops will be run in the WA Farmers Federation Vasse Zone in early December.

The Cattlecare workshops will be held on December 12 at the Dardanup Equestrian Centre building, Garvey Road, Dardanup, and on December 13 at the Esplanade Hotel, Marine Terrace, Busselton.

Both course commence at 9am and finish at 12 noon.

The cost of the course is $110 per enterprise for the training workshop and $60.50 for the manual and Cattlecare registration, but until December 21, eligible farmers will receive a 75pc subsidy from Farmbiz on the cost of this training, the manual, registration and initial audit.

Places in the course are limited so to register attendance please contact zone co-ordinator Jenny Trigwell on phone/fax 9731 5083 or email vassezone@waff.org.au and indicate the day you wish to attend the course.
