MEMBERS of the Australian Suffolk Association will hold the breed's annual feature show and sale during the Northam Agricultural Society Show on September 10 and 11. This year's sale, to take place at 11am on Saturday, September 11, will feature 25 stud rams consigned from 12 studbreeders from throughout the state and 10 stud ewes. Show classes will be judged on Friday morning, while breed society's annual dinner will be held at the Shamrock Hotel, Northam, on the Friday, where marketing consultant Esther Price will be guest speaker. Meanwhile, Suffolk lambs will be featured at the Bentley College of TAFE's lamb cutting competition, judged on the Monday of the Perth Royal Show. Five students from the butchering course will be competing for a trophy and using carcases supplied by Wendy Veitch, Wendenlea Suffolk stud, Boddington. The competition takes place at the Jim Webster Pavilion at the showgrounds from 9am on Monday, September 27, and is well worth a look for those planning on being at the show that day. ÿ
