BAYER CropScience has announced the release of its Sakura pre-emergent herbicide has been delayed until the 2012 season after originally being slated for a February 2011 release.
This setback is due to a requirement for additional studies to allow the completion of the product regulatory review.
Bayer CropScience says it is aware that there are huge expectations of Sakura in the Australian market and that many growers would have planned to use the product in 2011.
The company expects to be able to undertake trial evaluations over larger areas in 2011 so there will be an increased opportunity to see the product tested using a variety of sowing and spraying equipment.
