GROWERS can catch up on the latest grains research news while driving the header or truck this harvest thanks to the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Driving Agronomy October 2010 audio compact disc.
Compiled specifically for the western region, the CD features interviews with researchers and GRDC panel members and staff, and is available in the September-October edition of the GRDC’s Ground Cover magazine.
Tracks include an interview with GRDC western panel chairman Neil Young, who explains the role of the panel in helping to establish research priorities in the western region.
“Current GRDC research priorities in WA include better legumes, frost tolerance and drought, and the Driving Agronomy CD touches on progress being made in these key areas,” he said.
“Other topics covered on the 15 tracks on include yellow spot; herbicide resistance; biochar; stripe rust; grain storage hygiene; root lesion nematodes; and disease suppressive soils.”
As well as being available in the latest Ground Cover magazine delivered to growers in September, the Driving Agronomy CD is also available free (plus postage and handling) from GRDC’s Ground Cover Direct – free call 1800 11 00 44 or email ground-cover-direct@canprint.com.au
