A suspicious fire at the Margaret River Dairy Company has caused $5 million damage to the factory.

Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the blaze at the Fonti Farm, the site of the Margaret River Dairy Company, in Metricup about 3am on Saturday.

The fire destroyed the factory, causing approximately $5 million damage.

Arson squad investigators will attend Fonti Farm on Saturday to investigate.
