THE Liberty Charolais stud, Toodyay, is extremely proud to offer an outstanding line-up of bulls and females at its second annual yearling sale at Muchea.
The sale will be held at the Muchea Livestock Centre on Monday, May 22, following the weekly trade cattle sale (not before 1pm).
The stud’s yearling bulls look exceptional this year.
They are an extremely even line of well-grown young sires showing tremendous carcase attributes with plenty of softness and a good spread of EBVs to match.
The scanning data from April 26 was impressive, with average weights of 575kg, 7mm P8 fat, 6mm rib fat, 95cm2 EMA and four per cent IMF, which clearly indicates their performance ability.
Kevin, Robin, Morgan and Jess Yost’s stud breeding program is designed to assist producers in achieving a better bottom line by producing calves that should have the flexibility to suit a wide range of markets, both domestic and export.
“Producing calves that will capitalise on the current beef market is the key to profitability and we believe the yearling bulls on offer can achieve this in commercial producers’ breeding programs,” Kevin said.
“Using stud sires in our breeding operation that display excellent phenotype and in the top percentile of the breed for genotype, are important qualities for us and represented by the sires in this year’s sale draft.”
Liberty Just Ramblin Along and Rangan Park Redemption are trait leaders for 200, 400 and 600-day weights (DW) while Kooyong Jackson is also a breed trait leader for birthweight (BW), 200 and 400-DW.

“We are only too happy to help and we look forward to seeing everyone at Muchea on May 22,” he said.
