Westbreed prize to Centreforest
NORTHAM Poll Dorset breeders Warren and Louise O'Neill, Centreforest stud, Northam, were the winners of the Westbreed prize for exhibitors in the Bayer Avenge ram shed and Milne marquee at last week's Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days.
All stud breeders on display in the ram shed or marquee were in the draw for the Westbreed-sponsored prize of an embryo flush of three donor ewes.
The Centreforest stud was founded in 2008 and is based on Hillcroft Farms bloodlines and has a strong focus on ASBVs.
The O'Neills have undertaken AI programs in the past but not ET so they are excited about the opportunity.
The winner was drawn by Bayer Animal Health southern WA area manager Paul Duggan.
