HARDI Australia this week gave the thumbs-up to its MiniDrift Duo spray nozzles, following a stringent testing program.
According to the company’s Australia and New Zealand sales manager Linden Forbes, farmers who have already used the nozzles say the flat spray air-injector nozzles offer 90 per cent drift reduction, with good coverage in the upper leaf area.
“Hardi has used data obtained from wind tunnel testing, because such tests are accurate at simulating spray conditions experienced while driving at speed,” Linden said.
“Real spraying conditions, however, introduce cross winds that can only be accounted for by analysis during actual field testing.”
MiniDrift Duo nozzles are available in Australia and New Zealand as an option for all HARDI booms.
The nozzles can be also purchased separately if you modify your existing boom.
But remember, you modify at your peril because you become the manufacturer and are liable for any legal disputes involving the boom.
Now that’s a BOOM.
