TAKING your new wife to a tractor factory on your honeymoon is probably not the secret to a long and happy marriage but Jonathon Trigwell thought nothing of it.
After he married Jessica three years ago the Dardanup couple embarked on their honeymoon to the United Kingdom two years ago and one of the priorities was a visit to the New Holland factory in Basildon, something Jessica was quite happy to do.
In fact it was their love of tractors that united them in the first place, with both previously working at De Rosa's Highway Motors in Waroona, where they returned a few weeks back to take delivery of their new T7.245 Blue Power tractor, the first one sold in WA.
The new model, with its distinctive blue paint work, is a completely re-styled tractor with improved functionality and state-of-the-art technology, innovation, power and efficiency.
"I just wanted a good tractor," Jonathon said. "It has got all the latest features in it."
The Blue Power model will future-proof Jonathon's needs for the next five to six years and it is set for a busy schedule of spraying, tillage and mowing, and whatever else the Trigwells can throw at it, doing contract work in the Dardanup area.
Salesman Gavin Dunstan said there was a lot to like about the new model, including the IntelliView touchscreen that provided fingertip programming, an increased light package, front linkage options and upgraded seat package.
"Overall they have been such a reliable tractor and this model is the next evolution of the Auto Command transmission series," he said.
"Customers need to be aware that it takes six months to get this particular tractor into stock because it is a special build with ISOBUS-compatibility.
