Sheep sold as dry takes hold

MILING farmer Des Seymour had 170 Merinos up for sale at the Muchea Livestock Centre on Tuesday. He said the lack of rain had forced them to sell approximately 900 sheep so far this season, after shearing 4500 in summer.

PROLONGED dry conditions across WA are having a significant impact on the sheep market, with yardings across the State’s saleyards at unusually high numbers.
