Sheep webinar to assist management

30 Mar, 2010 01:01 PM

SHEEP producers around the State can participate in an online forum to get the latest information on flystrike for the season ahead.

The Department of Agriculture and Food is hosting the ‘webinar’, a short web-based seminar over the internet, tomorrow, March 31.

Development officer Peter Robson urged interested participants to register as soon as possible.

“This unique format allows anyone with a broadband internet connection to participate,” Mr Robson said.

“It’s interactive and enables participants from any location to ask questions and share ideas with fellow participants and experts from the department from the convenience of their own home.”

The free, one-hour webinar program includes information on how dags and wrinkle score influence flystrike, breech modification options, chemical treatments, management tools and details on the National Wool Declaration requirements.

Participants need to register as soon as possible to get details of how to access the website. Contact Peter Robson at the department’s Albany office on 9892 8444 or email
