WIAA 100: Alison Hartman

ALISON Hartman is a director and co-founder of Ag In Compliance, provider of a centralised platform for the agriculture industry to manage workplace safety inductions across agricultural operational sites and on farms.

She has a passion for improving safety in workplaces, with her experience in mining and heavy industry driving her belief that workplace injuries and fatalities are absolutely preventable.

While working as general manager for safety, health and environment (ANZ) at leading Australian grain industry participant Viterra, Alison recognised the need for the agriculture industry to take the path of other sectors in improving its workplace safety performance. Subsequently, Ag In Compliance was born as a multi channel platform to address safety induction and services in the industry.

Alison holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from the University of Adelaide.

She on has held both operational and project roles, working across, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. Alison’s industry experience covers mining, agriculture, nuclear, steel, petroleum and environmental remediation.
