WIAA 100: Danielle England

DANIELLE England is a part-time agricultural consultant with Planfarm Pty Ltd based in Narrogin, Western Australia, managing statewide development and extension projects for both the grains and red meat industries.

She has more than 15 years of project management and farm management experience in both the cropping and livestock industries across Australia.

After studying Agribusiness Marketing at Curtin University (Muresk campus) in 1998, she farmed and consulted in South Australia and Victoria for eight years, where she managed a 5000 ewe Merino ewe flock in partnership with her husband Jonathan.

The England family moved back to WA in 2006 where she joined Department of Agriculture and Food WA (DAFWA) in its NRM section before joining the Planfarm team in 2010.

Danielle works across WA with grower groups, agronomists, farm business consultants, researchers and farmers to identify, trial and develop new technology that increases on-farm productivity and profitability.

Danielle is passionate about rural Australia and the agricultural businesses which make up its economic and social structure, and just loves living and working in rural WA.

Danielle is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the 2013 RIRDC Western Australian Rural Woman of the Year.
