DR MICHELE Allan is chair of the boards of Meat and Livestock Australia, William Angliss Institute and Grains and Legumes Nutrition Council.
She is a non-executive director of Ruralco Holdings, Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation, Innovation Australia, CallaghanInnovation, CRC Hearing and Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd.
Michele is also a member or chair of the audit and risk committees of some of these organisations and chair of a number of remuneration committees.
Until 2008 she was CEO/managing director of a listed food manufacturer and marketer.
Prior to that role, she was group general manager risk and sustainability for Amcor Limited.
Michele was general manager of Amcor Research and Technology.
She has held executive roles with Kraft Foods, Bonlac Foods Limited, ICI, Tasmanian Bioinformatics Centre of Excellence Tasmania, Johnson and Johnson and Nestle. Michele has a Bachelor of Applied Science from University of Technology Sydney, Master of Management of Technology from Melbourne University, Master Commercial Law Deakin University and Doctorate from RMIT.
She is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a professional member of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology.
