Finalist: Outstanding emerging leader

JUST 29, Georgie Aley actively participates in both the Australian and international food and agribusiness industries.

She is the managing director and chief executive of the Grains and Legumes Nutrition Council – the independent authority on the nutrition and health benefits of grains and legumes across Australia and New Zealand – and chair of the Future Farmers Network, the only national youth agricultural network in Australia.

She is a director of Pulse Australia, Workforce Consulting Pty Ltd and Global Youth Ag Summit, a global conference engaging under 25s in addressing food security issues.

Georgie has a strong passion for the sustainable future of Australian food and agribusiness industries and was last year recognised for her outstanding leadership in

Australia and New Zealand’s food and agribusiness industries as the inaugural recipient of the Rabobank Emerging Agribusiness Leader Award.

She holds a Bachelor of Equine Business Management from the University of Sydney and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Georgie is currently completing her Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
