WIAA 100: Jill Briggs

23 Mar, 2014 01:00 AM

JILL Briggs is part of a farming family living 10 kilometres west of Rutherglen, Victoria.

Jill has been an integral part of the farm but the greater percentage of her energy is spent building capacity in primary industries and rural communities through her consultancy business.

From her home office looking across the paddocks of "Silky Oak", Jill has carved a niche market for industry specific leadership and capacity building programs across Australia.

In 2001 she founded Rural Training Initiatives and is now its managing director.

To date Jill has worked with rural communities throughout Victoria, Australia and internationally, working extensively with the national wine, seafood, vegetable, horticulture, dairy, citrus and sugar industries.
