KYLIE Stretton is an advocate for the beef industry and rural Australia.

She is a founding member and administrator of Ask An Aussie Farmer, a 2012 Art4Agriculture Target 100 Beef Young Farming Champion, a 2012 finalist for the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QRRRWN) Strong Woman Leadership Award, and a social media consultant for the industry.

Kylie’s experience in social media saw her take on the role of QRRRWN social media co-ordinator, and be invited to speak at the 2013 Charters Towers Zonta Club’s International Women’s Day Function and Hughenden ICPA’s Celebrating the Drought Day.

She was also chairperson and MC of the recent Next Gen Beef Up Forum in Charters Towers and a panelist for a question and answer session on social media at LiveExChange, the inaugural live export conference.

She recently launched a series of live, online seminars called Cultivating Connections, which aim to teach food and fibre producers how to effectively embrace social media and tell positive stories about agriculture.

Kylie grew up on a cattle station in North Queensland and currently runs a livestock agency business and small beef farm in Charters Towers with her husband and two children.
