23 Mar, 2014 01:00 AM

REBECCA Murray’s love and passion for agriculture began whilst growing up on a commercial cattle property near Moura in Queensland.

Rebecca worked as a qualified accountant for a number of years with a large majority of her clientele being rural based.

Looking for a new challenge and with the desire to submerse herself even more in the agricultural field Rebecca switched career paths a few years ago and is now an agribusiness manager with National Australia Bank.

This role has enabled her to focus solely on the beef and farming sector throughout Central Queensland.

More recently Rebecca was selected as a board member for the Emerald Agricultural College expanding her focus to encourage and promote young people into the agricultural industry.

Rebecca was also selected to join the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Group in June 2013 with the aim of ‘Building a Focus for the Future’.

She says it was an ideal opportunity to address issues facing rural industries and communities plus develop leadership, communication and planning skills with equally passionate people throughout Australia with a focus on promoting the future of agricultural industry.
