I don't like the way Primesafe handled this either but attacking a credible and respected organization like Animals Australia whose sole role in this was to pass on the footage that was provided to them is pathetic. They are just an easy target for you guys but you all better get used to the fact that they have more friends than you and the more you attack them, the more support they get. So if you want to stay out of trouble then don't be cruel to animals. Easy.
Hannah you have completely missed the point of Michelle Bridge's article - she's talking about factory farming! So all you've served to achieve here is to defend factory farmers and the inexcusable way animals are confined and treated in these intensive industries. If you are indeed an advocate of 'ethical' practices then why on earth would you put so much time and effort in defending those who treat animals cruelly?
Dear Practical Farmer (aka factory farmer?) - factory farming is keeping pigs and chickens indoors, in cages or in small spaces for their entire lives. Plenty of farmers make a good living without resorting to factory farming and I fully support them. The fact you needed a definition speaks volumes as to why major retailers need to take the lead on animal welfare. Keep it up Coles! You've got my support.
Mate you've got a pretty crappy business model if you've built your business around selling one product to one customer - you didn't need a crystal to ball to see live export was coming to an end. What I find remarkable is that you still want to ship your sheep to these places when it's no secret anymore what happens to them there. There was a time I felt sorry for you guys - but it's true - you really don't give a toss.
So LSS pays for a junket to Australia for a couple of their countrymen to plead their case. They must be worried.
