So @Annie, if you had to choose between the life of a child and the life of an animal, you'd choose the animal? In keeping with your 'vulnerable' statement then I imagine you'd sacrifice the animal - because humans DO come FIRST. It's a first world choice to not eat meat, unfortunately millions of people in less developed countries don't have the luxury of choosing not to eat meat as it's a cheap source of protein essential for growth. How about focusing on the needs of these less privileged humans rather than animals.
