As a clue, the ears are on the eating end!!! Even urbanites, who largely don't know how/where their food comes from, do understand that food is an essential, daily item, unlike tatoos and even cars if you have a suburban (subsidised) railway station somewhere nearby. The access to finance is decided by bankers (largely urban biased) and infrastructure by pollies largely (generally urban biased too). See aproblem here???
Couldn't agere more Ando! Its the solutions being proposed that we can't bear. Are all pollies idiots Aussies & Poms incl) or are they just under the spell of sloganising lawyers and economists?? Not many scientists on their office staff I'll bet. The real world problems of over population and contingent industrialisation are rarely on the agenda. Perhaps ISIS is trying to help on that front!!!! Taxing us into 3rd world status wont help either. Really is a Nthn Hemisphere issue, just like the worlds population.
Can't happen soon enough. How about some attenuated myxo, as well, to give us some back up. RHV and myxo not having any real effect in sthn NSW over past few years.
I visited Esperance area SEP13 and saw huge crops of Mace about to mature. Seemed to be more than 80% of total varieties used, but would be very worried about a disease wipeout with such a dominant variety usage. Where are the Ag Dept advisors and risk warnings?
Who the hell do we believe???
I can't disagree we need some budget belt tightening. However, why wont politicians address the real problem, that is, in Oz we have one layer of govt too many, which always leads to this argy bargy buck passing. Change the Constitution for the better and abolish State parliaments and much of their inflated bureaucracies. That would cut a lot of costs in just pensions alone, let alone the red/green tape. Oh for an efficiency review of ourt political structure and costs.
I thought that in Australia how you voted was secret!! How will the Greens (or others) find the people who changed their "private" voting pattern???
