Agribuzz with David Leyonhjelm

I had hope to get some new insights given David's experience, but in the end I learnt nothing. I wanted to be challenged but he repeated the sustainability conundrum all liberals face have faced elsewhere in the globe when others have a different view. The real issue is whether to ignore the global trend of big business buying into global sustainability standards. I don't think a competitive Australia agribusiness can afford the luxury of this Victorian thinking. AS for the smaller family farmer for whom profit was a concept from another era, I don't suppose there was much innovative there too

Agribusiness

As long as you commodify the production rather than add value, the money and security will be thin. Finance business not agriculture. Only way forward is to add value and find solutions for the 2-300 acre familiies... which don't resign them to labour commodity.
