Thanks Merchant-because we now have a merchant controlled rabble for a marketing system (thanks to Rudd Labor and Nelson's Liberals) and because our quality reputation has been trashed, we are no longer a premium supplier and have to compete against lower quality wheat from the Black Sea.
Of course the same merchants that hock wheat our for the lowest price are selling Black Sea wheat too!
What a farce!

Doug Clark played a role in the demise of Australia's iconic single desk marketing system.
Doug is now trying to reinvent the wheel by talking about doing what AWB Ltd did for him.
He has buckley's of course in a system that is now controlled by the merchants.

The privatised GHA took East growers for a ride and was only interested in dividends and deregulation.
Graincorp and Graingrowers /PWA have a lot to answer for.
WA growers have a gold mine in CBH.
SA growers were suckered and lost control of their outstanding system.
