Agribuzz with David Leyonhjelm

newbroom, I'm not a public servant, not from Canberra (although nothing wrong with that, they are as dedicated and smart as anyone, and not in it for the money). Play the ball not the man

The other dangerous part of your proposal is dismantling public institutions. Many surveys show Australians don't trust politicians, business or shock jocks. They trust the ABC and SBS more & scientists the most. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/c omment/heres-the-proof-australian s-prefer-the-facts-20140528-zrof1 .html
You propose dismantling trusted agencies - so the others can lie and spin - and aid so we have more refugees, disease, war and bigger defence budget. The policy now is "aid for trade" which is fine. Science drives long-term economic growth & productivity. Pls consider.

David, the Hawke-Keating government managed massive reform - exchange rate, tariff, financial, tax, public companies. They were successful because they had a cause (competitiveness, productivity) and built concensus. The current libs don't have these brains or skills. Your solution is to ram through "cuts, cuts and more cuts" through sneaky, sly, mean-spirited methods (appropriation bills) based on ideology without supporting data. Which makes you dangerous. Luckily, most Australians see you as such, which is why you're so ineffectual in the debate

David, why don't you take your extreme ideologically driven model, move to the US, and see how you go there with it's philanthropy, inequality and violence. In addition, why don't you - just for once - include some data and evidence to support your ideologically-driven claims.
