Agribuzz with David Leyonhjelm

David, I think in some respect you are correct but I think the reason the movement has become so fundamental is due to the power and the monopoly that has become our food system. I for one would love to have access to a more cleaner array of foods than the ones that are being produced on mass. To get the desired nutrients out of a tomato or apple these days you have to eat several of them these days. Yes I know this is hard on scale with global markets etc but we all want every type of fruit & vege every day of the year there is no seasonality on the self these days.

Burrs under my saddle

I witnessing a 50 kg women on Ice throw off two 100kg security guards at Dubbo Hospital like she was swatting flies, she was unaware of what she was doing but the super human strength was far beyond amazing to shocking......

All research projects should provide definitive bottom line conclusions because without a profit all the production gains in the world are not going to sustain or progress farm businesses. Stop trying to get production gains and make all research outcomes profit based.

You can talk markets and demand till your blue in the face but unless farmers get a better understanding and control over the true cost of production then their demise is already set.

Australia sees bugger all of the chemistry created in Australia and some of our current modes are decades old, our market is small and insignificant we will get reformulated old chemistry and a dribble of new tech.

I thought the GRDC is principally funded by a grower levy and Australian Government contributions. The levy is based on the net farm gate value of the annual production of 25 crops. Nothing like a third party funding partnership with someone whose sole goal is to sell more chemical adding to the ever increasing cost of production!

I think the personal attacks on this couple having a go producing food with the threat of mines and CSG on their door step should be praise not knocked you shallow minded reductionist thinking aliens. You cannot argue that humans are having a negative impact on the planet, call it what you want label it pollution to waterways and air but do not personally attack this couple speaking there minds on something that obviously is effecting them at the farm gate and hip pocket. If they are wrong well we put less pollution into the air and water if they are right and we don't act, we are STUFFED.

Neddy, not sure where you are walking. I take it only in the suburbs for if you actually took a drive in western NSW and QLD even just out of the town limits just on dark I know you will find roos at plague numbers, talk about not knowing your facts open your eyes and by the way the quotes I added are from Australian wildlife articles written by experts.
