Agribuzz with David Leyonhjelm

David is dead right. We need to cut out the governments socialist mentality which is strip mining the economy and robbing the future prosperity of young people. Stop robbing money off hard working, productive people and giving it to people who don't deserve it.

Alfred I read the article and it is riddled with errors. Firstly the same health concerns re gluten intolerance ect have happened in Aus yet spraying roundup on pre- harvest occurs on a very tiny percentage of heactares, therefore it is probably not the reason. The fact the author suspected wheat was gmo shows how ignorant he is on the issue let alone all the Agronomic assumptions made that were incorrect

I believe in free market principles almost entirely but the issue of foreign investment is one that truly stinks. How is it fair that good farmers who should be the ones buying this land, have to compete under such an unfair playing field? Aussie farmers have to earn their money under high cost and wage conditions as regulated by government and then when it comes to paying capital off they have to give 50% of it away in taxes? Foreigners can earn their money under lower cost conditions and then pay stuff all tax on it to buy land here! There shouldn't be a need for it in already developed areas
