Austrade advises that: “Australia is the pre-eminent supplier of frozen and chilled meat and offal into the Indonesian market.”

“But Mr Crean said the common argument still being put forward by live export critics, that foreign markets like Indonesia would subsequently import packed and processed meat products from Australia, if live exports ended, was “fanciful”.”
Mr Crean’s wilful and deliberate deception on behalf of a duplicitous and sordid industry is a major reason why I won’t be voting for Labor in July.

I remind Red and John Niven that the nonsense lies with the perpetrators who knowingly and willingly traffic in live sentient animals to countries without animal welfare laws. The misfits who engage in this animal abuse include Barnaby Joyce, growers, live exporters, primitive and sadistic butchers in faraway lands. Currently, there are some 95 complaints/investigations on the department's website and few if any prosecutions.
Hang your heads in shame fellas. Where the law serves vested interests, Karma will exact her revenge. An eye for an eye...........already happening......

At least ten government and parliamentary reviews since 1985 have examined the live export system and its heinous animal welfare issues. Canberra is the lapdog to abominable animal abuse. One major ESCAS breach after another, without enforcement, without prosecution and its collusion in this stone age criminal enterprise necessitates a royal commission.
