It is supposedly well known that agricultural subsidy's in this country are negligible compared to other countries, I don't see the rational for this argument, there are numerous examples of cheep imports coming into this country that don't face the same standards as local produce. Production efficiency and global competitiveness are challenges that a lot of agricultural industries that are reliant on export markets are well aware of, I am sure. I hope this fellow is not claiming to be an advocate for Australian agriculture, because all I can see in this article is "backhanded putdown"

Wild salmon has a close to ideal balance of fatty acids, it is my understanding that the balance is effected if they are fed grain and seed oils, I am sure the consumers would be interested to learn that farmed salmon are fed chicken fat also? what would that do to the level of omega 3's?

Let's hope that Labor sees Bio-Security as more than "making us a figure of fun" or "picking on little puppies", if and when they return to government. Maybe they should take a leaf out of their own book, and leave things to the grown ups.

Archibald, hopefully when the new grass fed industry peak council is set up you are at the forefront to ensure the mistakes of the past are not repeated!

Does MLA own "TRUE AUSSIE"? surely it is the IP of the red meat producers whose levies payed for the development? To make a statement that someone has a great brand, you would also assume that they had something to sell. Red meat producers have a product to sell, MLA uses their levies to provide Marketing and R&D services, which also includes developing and supporting brands. Success in the past has been mixed, let's hope that the TRUE AUSSIE becomes a quality mark, underpinning the product credentials of Australian red meat brands.

Backbone could also be considered to have an "uncanny" resemblance to his last name, a bit more of that around at the time would have been helpful. Hopefully Back's 'Backbone' continues to be evident in our political landscape!

A bunch of green groups providing detailed analysis and constructive feedback, surely they would have claimed detailed accurate analysis and constructive feedback, rural landholders are used to their integrity, and the odd sighting of flying pigs.
