Gregeor, it's not just availability mate, there's a price factor which if you actually researched properly would uncover the extraordinary mark ups and profits which this manufacturer is making, along with the APVMA which also enjoys a nice little piece. Take the time to find out what it might cost to buy zinc phosphide tech and you do the maths. Next to banks there would harldy be another business in the country which would be more profitable than Animal Control Technologies at the moment. We don't want to kill off target species nor ourselves for that matter. Do your homework.
One can hope that the dooms day predictions relayed by Bil are not accurate. Surely if such shortfalls are imminent our government would be well on its way toward a nation building renewable fuels project. A thoughtful and well planned project that actually involved some benefits to farmers and regional communities! If diesel prices skyrocket and wheat prices remain so poor, then it is going to place extraordinary pressure on our ability to remain viable. On a positive note, check out this link www.cyclonepower.com/
Eureaka say the warmists! Plant all farms back to trees and we will all eat bugs. Climate change solved. I wonder what the Animals Australia regulations will be on transport and slaughter methods for these cute and defensless little creatures?
Good on Fiona. A nice story. I hope that Canberra doesn't ruin her as it has with so many well intentioned people before her.
Hey Bushie Bill, it is these kind of people you are calling rednecks when you get on and rant and rave like a lonley old couldabeen.
BB, I have just about had enough of your negative anti farmer sentiment. I do not know why you would bother to keep in touch with the rural press network if all you want to do is bag the farmer.
Mate, if you had the slightest knowledge of just how difficult it can be to operate a modern farm enterprise, you would not be denegrating our plight. As far as our piddly $43 billion goes, I challenge you to visualise an Australia without farming.
P.S. everything that comes and goes on our place is on a heavy transport vehicle and is a significant annual cost. BB, wake up or rack off.
What? Has this property not been storing carbon before now? Why 10 - 15 years? What happens the next time fire burns through the place? How is this going to work? Can we eat the nature reserve? Australia you have been conned.
That's all lovely stuff, I love think tanks. I bet they had nice sandwiches and cake too. My new wife and I bought our first farm in 2008. I was 33 and she was 26. We didn't buy it from mum or dad we got ourselves an education, worked hard, saved etc, yes we have had a little help from some loving parents, but we started from scratch. My point being is all the think tanks in the world wont change the rules of the game, the banking system, they won't stop our city centric govt closing hospitals, withdrawing regional funds or imposing new carbon taxes. Should have got a govt job 10am -3.30pm.
Congratulations to CBH and WA growers for maintaining the grower owned bulk handling system and re investing in its trains. This is a far cry from the run down and inefficient distribution networks further east.
The above link has interesting info on fleabane. We're from the SA mallee and it's new to our place. This year all the Glyphosate (1.85lt/ha) did was burn the tips a little and that was it. I'm not sure if the rotten stuff is very good at taking in the Glyphosate at all.
Wow, come back after a few weeks on the header and you blokes are going nuts!
Fair dinkum BB you must have a lot of time on your hands. FYI, it's a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)
As their name suggests, 4 Farmers have at least made the effort to assist with this very expensive and demoralising problem caused by mice. How is it practical for growers to take their grain to Animal Control Technologies in Melbourne? Many growers in other countries are allowed to buy and mix their own zinc phosphide on farm when needed. It is safe, quick and easy and it is ludicrous to regulate such a basic and necessary practice. ACT have made profit margins that any other business could only dream of & the APVMA levys have been a nice little earner for them too. Follow the money.
Chem Seller, clearly you're just a guy that calls himself chem seller, and probably works for ACT. Cause if you really were a chem seller, you wouldn't be posting such rubbish. Hats off to 4Farmers.
I hope you like eating wild turnip, brome grass an paddy melons holisticmick, cause take away the chemicals and thats all this farm will grow.
And if you think I should plow them then I hope you like eating dust mate cause thats what will blow your way.
It's time that the farmers of Australia got together and unite because we are going to need all the strength we can muster to ward off the dogooders.
This is what all our globalistic pollies call free trade. The trade is free to charge what they like for our inputs and on the other hand recieve all our produce for free. Its a win win unless you're a farmer.
Whatever Joe. Clearly that rock you're living under isn't big enough.
This is good news and I agree with the patriot. Perhaps Macquarie could lend the money to some Aussie farming families instead. They will get a better return on their money and the farms will be more productive.
