A GOOD cross section of WA’s dairy industry attended Western Dairy’s Spring Forum at Bunbury recently. Dairy farmers were joined by pasture and cattle health and fertility researchers, scientists, genetics and reproduction consultants, farm management and finance experts, feed and seed merchants and a milk processor representative from Brownes Dairy.
Attendees made the most of the opportunity to network during breaks in the program and after the forum. Western Dairy project team members presented update reports on ryegrass seed trials, kikuyu as a summer pasture and the DairyCare effluent management program, as well as a web-based feed budgeting tool, dairy training program and employment and safety resources.
MAL GILL attended the forum for Farm Weekly and took these photos.
