West Pithara farmer Dusty Fry (left), pictured here talking with AFGRI Equipment Dalwallinu salesman Jamie Bean, pitched in to help a neighbour last week after finishing his harvest the previous week. "He had a header fire so I brought my header (a John Deere S670) in to help him out," Dusty said. "Fortunately I had a good run on my farm and yields are above budget. It's the first time I've hit good yields and good prices in the same year. The wheat went APW2 and ASW, the canola was above the five-year average with excellent oil averaging 49 and the Feed barley was exceptional with Compass and Planet varieties while Spartacus was solid."

IT was a record breaking week for the Kwinana zone last week with 7.7 million tonnes of grain delivered so far for the harvest season.
