AFTER weeks of no moisture in the Lower Great Southern area, proper drizzle last week greeted the clearing sale day of Brad and Anna Sounness’ Quangellup property, Mt Barker.
Spirits were not to be dampened, and a big crowd of buyers and onlookers turned out to secure items of interest.
One of the biggest prices in the sale was $68,000 for a Case Maxxum tractor with loader buckets that had 900 hours on the clock.
Also making good money was a John Deere 6520 with loader bucket (4050hrs) when it sold for $41,000.
A HiLux extra cab, manual, four cylinder diesel ute (60,000km) sold for $33,000.
Other machinery which bought significant money included a 40 tonne Marshall Multi-spreader for $15,000, a Toyota Landcruiser 2000 ute at $20,000 and a hay feeder for $12,000.
