THE Facey Group’s annual Trials Presentation event will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Wickepin.
The afternoon will showcase the group’s 2018 trial results as well as presentations covering Scepter protein responses, frost responses to soil amelioration and early sowing options, market outlooks and a look into how a small idea evolved into a leading national agribusiness.
The afternoon will also include the Facey Group’s annual Farmer Forum Panel session, where three farmers with diverse farming strategies discuss their approaches to machinery replacement and how this affects their farming profitability.
Prior to the trials update, the Facey Group will host the AHRI Weeds Resistance Testing workshop in the morning.
This will cover some of the latest research, discuss growers’ 2019 strategies for managing resistant weeds and farmers are encouraged to bring any weed seed samples for free testing.
The Facey Group will also host a nutrition workshop with Wayne Pluske, from Equii and a legumes workshop with Farmanco on Thursday, March 28, 2019, through projects funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation, which is free for growers to attend.
