A HAY rake attachment designed for high density large square balers, won the best new release award at last week’s Make Smoking History Wagin Woolorama.
Essentially it provides operators with the ability to rake in three or four windrows, depending on mower width, to create one windrow to “feed” into the baler.
Made by Spanish manufacturer Nadal, it is the biggest baler-mounted hay rake on the market with a working width of 11.6 metres.
It also is fitted with an auger to handle bigger windrows.
Agriparts and Repairs director Paul Hicks, bought the first rake imported into Australia and was so impressed with its performance, he has taken up the Australian distribution rights.
“With our Krone 1290 baler, we can produce 100 bales an hour, and the rake swings upwards for transport,” he said.
“There are some obvious advantages including less labour and higher throughput and the thing I really liked was that it was built well.”
If you picked up it was made by Nadal then you’ve really aced it.
