DE Engineers is excited about more innovative features that have been added to its silo range.

"We have designed silos with a wide gap at the front to allow large augers with hoppers to fit under the silos," said DE Engineers owner Kevin Prater.

He said there have also introduced an outlet handle which is angled along the cone so it doesn't interfere with operations when the auger hopper is raised under the outlet, which will stop grain from overflowing.

Mr Prater said these ideas came from one of their Newdegate customers who wanted the wider gap and raised outlet handle so sheep could not open the silos for a free feed, resulting in a lot of grain on the ground.

"These innovations also tie in with the larger field bin doors released at Wagin (Making Smoking History Wagin Woolorama) this year," he said.
