Border checks detect African Swine Fever

Australian Pork Limited chairman David Lock said a "significant amount" of undeclared pork products had been intercepted at the border with 11pc testing positive for African Swine Fever, which if it got through to the Australian herd could wipe out the majority of the industry.

ILLEGALLY imported pork is posing a massive threat to the Australian pork industry after the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) revealed some of the meat tested positive for African Swine Fever (ASF).
