Second best season for ram sales

The $45,000 top-priced ram for the season across all breeds was sold by the Edmonds family's Rhamily Poll Merino stud, Calingiri, at the Rabobank WA Sheep Expo & Sale at Katanning in August when this March shorn Poll Merino ram sold to the Glen-Byrne stud, Calingiri and the St Quentin stud, Nyabing, in partnership with semen shares to the Manunda stud, Tammin and Kingussie stud, Dumbleyung. AFTER a record breaking year in 2018, ram sales across Western Australia saw a modest correction this year, but there remained plenty of positives for stud breeders to retain optimism for their industry.
